Blackberry has just announced their latest Android smartphone – the DTEK50. The branding reflects their emphasis on security, co-opting the name of their security app DTEK. (This may be called the Neon in our market) Blackberry claims this is the most secure phone in the world.
This is the first phone after the ill fated Z series to be fully touchscreen, with no physical keyboard.
The DTEK50 (quite a mouthful!) has a 5.2-inch, 1080p display powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor, with 3GB RAM. Snapper duties are split between a 13-megapixel main camera and a 8-megapixel front camera. Selfie lovers would be happy with the inclusion of a flash for taking selfies.
It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow, tweaked by Blackberry to incorporate their signature features such as the Hub. Check out the intro video from Blackberry touting the DTEK50’s secure chops. It should hit the markets in UAE in a few weeks, you can be sure it will be on YallaShop at the #bestpriceever
